  When the Water Stopped, God Provided “Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everwhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him”   2 Corinthians 2:14 Recently at Tenwek Hospital, every tap in the hospital compound suddenly ran dry. Heavy turbulence at the dam forced a shutdown of the water supply, and immediately the strain was felt throughout the hospital. We needed water — and we needed God to provide. In His perfect timing, the rains earlier that week had filled our storage tanks. Although the water was not safe to drink, God had already supplied what we needed before the crisis even began. As soon as word spread about the need, the missionary community quickly mobilized. We gathered Sawyer water filters and purchased buckets from local shops to create multiple filtration systems.   From Death to Life, Easter Hope at Tenwek “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” Easter at Tenwek Hospital was, as always, a powerful reminder of the hope we have in Christ. In the midst of a busy season, we were given the gift of rest during the Good Friday and Easter Monday holidays. We gathered with our community for a sunrise service, Resurrection Sunday worship, and time with other missionaries. Jimmy provided a rich reflection on how God’s light overcomes the darkness. One of the most meaningful traditions here is decorating the cross with local flowers—each family bringing what they have, transforming a symbol of death into a vibrant picture of new life.
