Pressing on toward the goal
The Lord continues to keep the door open for us at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet Kenya. We will be leaving for our fourth trip on April 27th. More than ever before, I feel the sacrifice that is needed to serve in this capacity. My cry recently has been, “Lord, I want to know you.” Paul enlightens us as to what it means to “know Christ” in Philippians 3. He has cast aside his confidence in the flesh and his natural abilities for the sake of Christ. “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3:10-11 To know Christ is to share in his suffering. Suffering comes in many forms in this fallen world. As we press forward with the power of the Holy Spirit for the sake of the Gospel we share in Christ’s suffering.
