Maasai Water Filter Project 2nd Delivery

The main focus of this trip was to return to the Maasai village with 200 Sawyer Water Filters.  Back in October of 2024, I delivered and set-up about 380 water filters for their village, schools, & churches.  They have struggled with unsafe drinking water from the Mara River for years with many of their children getting sick from bacteria infested water.  When I returned this past week, they did inform me that no one had fallen ill from the water since the water filter delivery and set-up in October of 2024!  The Children have been healthy and actually drinking more water which is such a blessing.

It's always an adventure going into the Maasai Mara with all of the Safari wildlife, cows, goats, sheep crossing the roads, and I use the word 'roads' loosely.  I also had a run in with a Brown Recluse Spider from visiting their local latrine.  I came out and felt something on the back of my bald head and tried brushing it away.  I thought I got it, but when I came out in front of the Maasai women, they shrieked and came at me with swatting hands and knocked it off of me and quickly stomped on the spider.  I asked, "Was that a bad spider?" and they replied, "Yes, very bad!"  - I thanked them with a bit of a chill running down my spine and went back to work.

The Maasai people of this village were so thankful for the water filters, they would break out into songs of blessings and of thankfulness!  So, in turn, I thank the many people that have given to this incredible cause of giving life-saving clean water to so many people.  Thank you for your continued support - Blessings,

Jimmy
