“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given…
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Greetings from Kenya, and thank you for walking alongside us this season. This Christmas looked very different from what we are accustomed to- no gifts, no decorations, and no familiar traditions. It was Christmas stripped down to its essence, allowing us to focus deeply on the true meaning of the season: Christ's humble entry into the world and His presence among the suffering.
Throughout Christmas week, we brought that message of hope directly into the hospital. We caroled through the wards, sharing joy with patients and families who are often facing fear, pain, and uncertainty. On Christmas Eve, the missionaries gathered for a candlelight service filled with worship and scripture reading. On Christmas Day, we worshiped with Kenyan believers. Though many languages were spoken, our praise was united-an unforgettable reminder that the body of Christ spans every nation.
Your generosity is making a direct and lasting impact in the hospital. Many of the patients we serve arrive with advanced disease due to limited access to care. One patient recently underwent a 12-hour surgery to remove an aggressive skin cancer that had tripled in size while awaiting treatment. The operation required removal of part of his jaw and surrounding lymph nodes. Despite spending Christmas alone in the hospital, he remains in good spirits and is recovering well. He lives in extreme poverty, and because of your support, we are able to use compassion fund resources to help cover his ongoing treatment. He will require postoperative chemotherapy and radiation, as the cancer has spread to lymph nodes under his arm and into his chest.
Another young patient was born with a congenital heart disorder and had gone more than two years without repair of his cleft lip and palate. Thanks to the availability of specialized anesthesia support, we were able to repair both his lip and palate in a single operation. He tolerated the six-hour surgery well and is recovering beautifully—a life-changing outcome made possible through coordinated care and generous giving.
Every day, we encounter heartbreaking stories of delayed treatment and advanced disease. Yet, even in these difficult circumstances, we see God at work—bringing healing, restoring dignity, and offering hope. Your prayers and financial support are essential to this ministry. They allow us to provide care to those who would otherwise have none and to serve in Jesus’ name with compassion and excellence.
Thank you for your faithfulness, generosity, and trust. Because of you, lives are being changed this Christmas season in Kenya.
With deep gratitude and Christmas blessings,
Jimmy and Chase Miller
