Next trip to Tenwek Hospital October 13th

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them- the Lord, who remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous...Praise the Lord

Psalm 146:4-8

Oh, how faithful is our God! He raises up what is low, and brings down the proud. His ways are not our ways. We are blessed to serve the poor, the lowly, and those in need. With healing hands God ministers to His people. The ones He has chosen to know Him. My heart is grateful as I anticipate God’s healing touch on His people of Kenya. His love is beyond understanding as He calls us from a nation 7000 miles away to serve the needy in a land of poverty. Although I know I am not what they need, my confidence is in Him who will be faithful to deliver them.

We leave October 13th for Tenwek Hospital in Bomet, Kenya. My ENT clinical officer has been working to gather those in need of surgery. I will be bringing further equipment to complete the ear instruments needed. We also have 20 donated digital hearing aids from a top-of-the-line hearing aid provider. I have been trained on how to program the aids to fit the specific hearing needs of each patient. There are 31 patients waiting for aids. Please pray that God would multiply the hearing aids! I anticipate far more patients that need surgery than I have operating room time. Please pray that God would open the door for more surgical time. As always, my cry is that God will prepare the hearts that do not know Him and bring them in.

The water filter ministry continues. Jimmy plans to bring 75 filters. He has also identified a safe shipping agency and 60 more filters will arrive before we land. If this shipping method works it will open the door to obtain filters if we are over there for a longer period of time or to ship over when we are stateside. He plans to visit rural schools, churches and partner with Tenwek community health to distribute the filters.

Kitoben children’s home is always an anticipated visit. The school and new dining hall are completed. The most recent project has been new latrines. We have received word that there is a need for college fees. The children are growing up! We will be assessing the needs and contributing what the Lord provides.

We covet your prayers as always for safe travels, successful surgeries, and shining His light wherever God leads us.

In Christ,
Chase and Jimmy Miller
